In 1999 the original Ristorante Certo was born in Macquarie Street, Sydney
Australia, not far from Sydney's famous Opera House. It was a unique restaurant
for Australia as the chef was Japanese but the cuisine was truly Italian.
It received praise in reviews from various publications, as well as several
prestigious Chefs Hats awards from the Sydney Good Food Guide. In 2003
Ristorante Certo moved to nearby Kent Street due to the Macquarie Street
building's pending demolition. (((Then in early 2006 Ristorante Certo
closed because of the planned refurbishment of the Kent Street premises))).
On the 15th of December 2006, Certo was re-born at Yotsuya 3 chome in
Tokyo Japan as "Certo Wine & Dining". Still focusing on wonderful Italian
cuisine, the new Certo Wine & Dining also offers fine wines expertly matched
to its dishes. As well as Italian, and French vintages, Certo Wine & Dining
specialises in Vintage, Rare and Boutique Australian Wines - which are
normally very difficult to find in Japan. |
